Patience is a Virtue, they say...

October 2009 has been a very hectic month in the Pharmacology lab at the Uni. Lots of experiments to run, data analysis and graphs to do, etc. November 2009 will, by any means, be less hectic: I have a thesis to finish by the 23rd of November. Being a scientist in training is indeed extremely time-consuming, with all-nighters at the Uni, experiments running until 2AM on a Monday morning, and lots of caffeine to keep those A1 adenosine receptors inhibited.

So, please be patient. I have been thinking lots between experiments and data analysis, and I hope to start uploading things in the near future.

In the meantime, it's midnight and still graphs to be printed for the meeting I have with my supervisor tomorrow...

A Christian and a Scientist

Welcome!

This blog comes into existence by a combination of three things:

1) I'm a Christian
2) I suffer from 'cacoethes scribendi', an irresistible urge to write
3) I'm a scientist (or scientist-in-training :))

In our modern world it is to easy to put Science and Christianity as enemies - and yet there are weird people like me, who can admire the beauty and intricacy of Science, and still be a Christian. Or even better, be a Christian, and still be a scientist :).

I'll be writing about science in general, my scientific endeavours, and my experiences as a Christian and what Christianity is all about.

Please forgive my lack of talent in English - after all, it is my second language. So be patient.

Pro Scientia et Sapientia, ad maiorem Dei gloriam!
(Latin: "For science and wisdom, for a greater glory of God!")
